Applying for Benefits if you are struggling financially

Unemployment Benefits

If you have lost your job through no fault of your own you may be eligible for unemployment benefits. Click here to be taken through the process.

Public Assistance Benefits

All of the following benefits can be applied for through the Colorado PEAK website where you will sign-up for a free account. You can also go to your local Department of Human Services building to apply.

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) - Formerly known as food stamps.
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) - Cash assistance for families in need.
  • Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) - Supplemental nutrition program to ensure women and children under the age of five (5) are healthy.
  • Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) - Child care assistance to families that are working, searching for employment, in a training program, or are enrolled in the Colorado Works program.
